Hello All,
In one week I will be leaving to start my adventure in Ghana. All the big stuff is done, well expect packing. All I can say is I'm sick of paperwork, but I'm glad it's all over and everything worked out in the end.
Today I spent the day shopping with my mom. We went to pick up a few more essentials before I start packing. Let me tell you, it's pretty hard to find summer clothes in the middle of winter in Wisconsin, but luckily all the shirts that we did find were on sale.
I am excited to get there, but not so much for the traveling there. I will leave early in the morning and get to Ghana early the next day. It will be a long day of travel. My biggest fear is missing my connecting flight, but as my family keeps reminding me, the amount of time I have between layovers is more than enough to make my way through even the largest airports.
I will try to update this blog around once a week to keep you updated on all of the things happening in my short time in Ghana. I am looking forward to meeting you host mom, which I have heard lots of great things about already. I am also anxious to meet my students and being able to work with them.
